AI Isn't Hard. So Who's Making It Look That Way?

If you've ever thought "AI seems complicated," I want you to pause and think about where that feeling comes from.

Where did "complicated" come from?

Probably from news articles. "Large language models." "Parameter counts." "Fine-tuning." When words like these pile up, it looks like only experts can use it.

But that's like saying you can't drive a car unless you understand the engine.

You don't need to understand a tool to use it

When you use a microwave, do you understand the frequency of the electromagnetic waves? No. But the food gets hot. That's enough.

AI works the same way. "Write this kind of text." "Summarize this." That's all it takes. You don't need to know what happens on the inside.

So who's making it look hard?

I'll be honest. The people making AI sound complicated are engineers and companies. They want to demonstrate their expertise. That's their agenda — not your problem.

What you need to know as a user is simply: what can I ask it to do?

One step you can take today

If you've never tried it, try it today. Ask AI a question the same way you'd search online. That's it. Overthinking it is harder than just doing it.
